Conclusions:

1. TeX not designed for semantic authoring, nor archiving
2. XML not designed for semantic authoring, but optimal for archiving
3. Therefore:
   • author in T4X (recover from TeX),
   • convert to and archive the XML,
   • store (and forget about) TeX
